I'm looking for smartphones with the least exploitive repair policies. I'm really frustrated with having to pay $99 for minor repairs on my iPhone after getting Apple Care. I recently cracked my camera cover, which costs just $10 for a replacement on Amazon, but Apple charges so much more for repairs. I've considered switching to Samsung, especially since my iPhone 13 has been slow and draining battery life since the latest iOS update. I'm tired of these forced updates making my phone feel outdated. What brands have affordable repair costs and are easy to fix? Also, is it possible to transfer my photos and contacts from iOS to Android? Thanks for any suggestions!

You might want to check out Fairphone. They focus on sustainability and ease of repair, although their parts can be a bit pricey. The $10 replacement for your camera cover sounds tempting, but keep in mind that it's often not the same quality as the original.

That's true, but I could buy that part and a camera lens protector for less than Apple's quote. Plus, a lot of repairs from Amazon can have decent quality these days.
