Is Upgrading from RX9060 XT to RTX 5060 Ti Worth It for $30?

I recently swapped my GPU for an RX9060 XT, but I found out I could get an ASUS GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Dual OC by only adding $30 to my refund. My setup includes a Gigabyte B550M DS3H motherboard, a Corsair CX 550M PSU, and an AMD 9 5950X CPU. I'm wondering, given my relatively older motherboard with PCI 3/4 slots, will I see any performance boost? I'm also concerned if my 550W power supply can handle it, especially since the RX9060 is x16 and the 5060 Ti is x8. Is this upgrade worth considering, or will it bring more issues than benefits?

For that small price difference, I’d say go for it! The PCIe limitations only become noticeable if you use the card heavily, which I doubt will be a problem with 16GB. Plus, your motherboard supports Gen 4, so you’re pretty covered. It's about a 5% performance boost, but the overall features of the 5060 Ti make it a worthwhile upgrade.

If you ever consider switching to Linux down the line, the AMD card might be a better fit. But if you’re sticking with Windows, the RTX is a solid option without major issues.

Yeah, I'm staying on Windows at least for now!

For just $30, making that switch is definitely a no-brainer! Your PCIe Gen 3/4 slots are perfectly fine as long as you stick to 16GB of VRAM. Honestly, you won't feel any major performance hit, and the RTX 5060 Ti does have some better features. You can’t go wrong with this upgrade!

Yeah, be sure not to go over the VRAM limit, but with that setup, you should be in good shape!
