I recently inherited two Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) host pools that haven't been updated in quite a while. I'm trying to find the easiest way to update and keep the machines running well. I'm curious if using Nerdio is a worthwhile investment for this purpose, and I'm also wondering how steep the learning curve is for someone new to it.

I've found that Nerdio really pays off, especially if you leverage it to optimize and shut down unused resources. The tricky part of the learning curve is getting used to how much it automates tasks you might have handled manually for a long time. Overall, I highly recommend it!
Nerdio is pretty great! If you’re starting from scratch, also check out Hydra by LoginVSI. It has a solid feature set and is relatively easy to manage, though pricing might have changed since the acquisition.
For us, Nerdio didn’t save any money. Just a heads up, their marketing often compares Nerdio to always running workloads, but you can achieve similar savings using a host pool scaling plan at no cost. That said, Nerdio does simplify image management.

That's interesting! How much do you actually save with a host pool scaling plan?
