Could My Windows 11 Computer Have Malware?

I left my Windows 11 computer running overnight while I was at work, and when I returned, I found two screenshots of my active tab taken in the same minute. Additionally, the run command box and my file explorer were opened, which were not like that when I left. I'm concerned I might have malware or something else unusual happening. Can anyone help?

If you're worried about malware, it's possible that your system has been compromised. Sometimes, programs like remote access trojans (RATs) can operate unnoticed, allowing someone to control your computer from afar. If you've recently installed any free software or mods, they might be the culprit. Disconnect from the internet immediately and consider reinstalling Windows after backing up your files to be safe.

Oddly enough, pets can sometimes cause these issues. But if you don’t have any pets, it might be something else! Just keep an eye out for any strange behavior and don’t ignore it.

If remote access was indeed granted, someone could trigger those screenshots. Make sure to check your startup programs and background processes for anything unusual using tools like Microsoft Sysinternals. It's essential to identify any hidden access points.

It’s also worth checking to see if your cursor might be acting up. I've had similar experiences where my laptop cursor started moving erratically, often caused by a loose connection. If this happens occasionally, it might not be malware but rather a hardware issue.
