Experiencing Boot Loop After Upgrading CPU – Need Help!

I recently purchased a used CPU that was functioning well until about a week ago when the seller mentioned it began boot looping. I assumed there might be other hardware issues and decided to buy it anyway. Prior to installing, I successfully updated my Biostar A320mh motherboard to the necessary BIOS version that supports the new CPU. However, after swapping my old Ryzen 2600 for the new Ryzen 5500, the system reaches the motherboard logo but then crashes and starts the boot loop again. If I unplug my SSD, I can boot straight into BIOS without any issues, but as soon as I connect it, the looping resumes. I've tried using just one stick of RAM and resetting the CMOS battery, and the CPU is detected in BIOS without any problems. What are my options to resolve this?

Honestly, you might want to just revert back to the 2600 and consider this CPU a loss. Sometimes it's just a gamble, and it seems like this one didn't pay off.

It sounds like this could be an issue with RAM training. I suggest clearing the CMOS and trying to rearrange the DIMM slots. It's uncommon for CPUs to be faulty, so tuning settings might be affecting it instead.

I switched each RAM stick around in all the slots, but unfortunately, it continues to loop at the logo.
