I'm looking for some help to pick a replacement for my Asus TUF 3080 10GB, which has been giving me a lot of black screen issues—I think the VRAM might be fried. I primarily want to play Battlefield 6 at 1080p aiming for 150fps on average (preferably hitting 240fps) and maintain 200fps in Forza Horizon 5. Here's my current setup:
- Monitor: IPS 1080p 300Hz Ntech Artemis
- CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X
- RAM: 32GB DDR4 3200MHz
- PSU: NZXT C1200 GOLD
In about a year, I plan to upgrade my monitor to a 2K OLED and possibly switch to a Ryzen 7 5800X3D if it's priced below 200€. Down the line, I might even upgrade the motherboard to an AM5 chipset to make room for a 9800X3D or 7800X3D alongside 32GB of 6000MHz DDR5 RAM. I've also found some local price comparisons for GPUs (Portugal) that I want to consider.

Why do you need such high fps on Forza?
For your gaming needs, I recommend considering the 9070 or 9070XT for the best price performance. However, keep in mind that the fps targets you have might be a bit too high for your CPU, even on lower settings. It might struggle to reach those numbers consistently.
Yeah, the lower the settings are at 1080p, the more demand that puts on your CPU. High or ultra settings with a strong GPU are crucial. The 5800X is still quite capable, especially with some tweaking for PBO and CO to boost those clock speeds.
With your current setup, no GPU is going to consistently deliver 150fps in Battlefield 6 with that CPU. I’d set your sights lower; you could aim for the 9070XT—it should be a good fit given your situation.
If you can get the 9070XT new for around 600 euros, I think that’s a solid choice overall!
I just really want a smooth experience—locked at 200fps would match my monitor's 200Hz refresh rate.
