I'm looking for recommendations on a budget graphics card that works well with the Intel i5 10400. My relative has an Acer pre-built PC that currently uses an integrated GPU. He hasn't specified a budget, but I was thinking around €200-300. Any advice would be appreciated!

Most budget GPUs should work fine with the i5 10400. Just be cautious of the newer 50 series cards, as they only offer x8 PCIe connectivity and might not perform well with your setup.
Definitely avoid B580 or 6650XT with that setup. You’re better off with other options to get the most out of the i5 10400, especially considering it’s a PCIe 3.0 CPU.
It really depends on your budget and local prices, but you might want to check out the RTX 3060 or RX 6650. Just keep in mind the i5 10400’s PCIe 3.0 limitations.
Given your budget, I would recommend sticking with mid-range GPUs, especially something that maintains the full x16 PCIe connectivity to avoid bottlenecks. Maybe look into the RTX 3070 for decent performance at 1080p.
