I'm building a gaming rig with a 7700XT and a 9600X, primarily for AAA games. I'm torn between getting 6000MHz CL30 RAM or 5600MHz CL36 RAM. How significant is the difference in performance between the two, especially in terms of FPS and 1% lows? Would investing in the higher CL 40 RAM be worth it? I'd really appreciate recommendations for the best MHz-CL combo for gaming and how much I should consider price differences. Thanks!

I'd definitely recommend the 6000MHz CL30. Lower latency is better in this case, so try to stick with it if you can. Just keep in mind that the price might be a bit higher. Are the performance gains really worth the extra cash? Yeah, it’s more like a 2-5% improvement at 1080p.
Performance gains can be pretty minimal in terms of FPS with different memory speeds, especially at lower resolutions. You might only notice a 1-3% difference, depending on what game you're playing.
Honestly, the difference in CAS latency (CL) isn't going to have a huge impact on gaming performance. If you can swing it, go for the 6000MHz RAM if it fits your budget. Just look for good deals from known brands; you want to balance price with performance.
If the price difference is over $60, you might want to just go for the cheaper option. Sometimes the cost isn’t justified for such a marginal performance increase.

But is that extra price worth it for only a few FPS? I don't want to overspend for a minuscule increase.
