I've been having a weird issue with my keyboard lately. While I was gaming, I noticed that every time I opened the chat, my keyboard would start typing random letters, almost like an IP address. It didn't seem like a big deal at first since the rest of the keyboard worked fine. However, when I went to Windows, it really went haywire—numbers, letters, and symbols were typing super fast and erratically. After I restarted my PC, I regretted it because now I can't log back in; the keyboard keeps typing the wrong password, locking me out. To make it worse, I see 'WSI Account' on the sign-in screen and I have no idea what that is. I share this PC with my dad, so I'm not sure if he did something or if my keyboard is just malfunctioning. I even tried cleaning it, but nothing changed. Do I need a new keyboard, or is there something more serious going on?

You should try disconnecting the keyboard to see if that stops the typing. It's a quick way to determine if the keyboard itself is the issue. I've had a similar experience where my keyboard started spamming keys after some liquid spilled on it, but unplugging and cleaning it did the trick for me.

I already cleaned the number pad and keys, and that's when it started acting up. I don't know of any spills, but I'm definitely unplugging it for a thorough cleaning. Should I do anything specific besides removing the keycaps and brushing it?
