Hey everyone! I'm looking to put together a gaming PC and had originally planned to purchase it this week, but some minor issues with my bank account mean I can take a little longer, aiming for mid to late May to finalize my choices.
I have a budget of €1000, with €1050 being the absolute maximum. I'll be ordering from alza.sk, as it's the best option in Slovakia for online shopping. Unfortunately, the second-hand market isn't great here; I saw a limited edition Sapphire Toxic 6900XT for €350, but it probably won't be available when I'm ready to buy. Amazon isn't feasible due to high delivery costs, making it no cheaper than ordering locally.
My target is to build an aesthetically pleasing PC that can handle most games in 1440p at high settings with 60+ fps using upscaling. I mainly play AAA titles and CS2, and I also dabble in some light Blender work and basic photo/video editing for school.
I've made two potential parts lists but can't decide which one to go for, especially between a good GPU and a CPU socket with DDR5 RAM. Here are the options:
- Intel Ultra 5 245KF + B580
- 5 5600XT + RX9060XT 16GB
Here are the links to my lists:
- [First List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/N2FPn2)
- [Second List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/y27vW9)
If anyone has the time to suggest a new list that would be fantastic! Just a reminder that I can only purchase from alza.sk, and I can't really accommodate the 9060XT + AM5 configuration as it would require sacrificing too many parts and likely go over budget.
Here's what I'm looking for in my build:
- **Case:** I love fishtank designs and need USB-C.
- **Motherboard:** Should have Bluetooth (can use an expansion card), 2x M.2 slots, and preferably USB-C.
- **PSU:** A modular power supply would be great, but I'm okay with a non-modular one; over-voltage protection would be a plus.
- **CPU Cooler:** An AIO cooler is preferred, so I won't need to replace it when upgrading CPUs – it should be quiet since I use my PC as a TV too.
- **Storage:** I already have a 1TB drive, a 512GB M.2, and a Kingston SSD just sitting around since I don't have room in my laptop.
Thanks in advance for any advice or recommendations! I'll do my best to answer any follow-up questions quickly.

Hey there! If you want to achieve 1440p on high settings within your budget, go with the Intel Ultra 5 build. The newer platform with DDR5 will offer better upgrade options in the future, especially since you're doing some light Blender and AI work. Investing in a solid Nvidia or newer AMD GPU will ensure smoother performance for those tasks compared to your other option. Plus, you can save some cash by using the storage you already have and invest that money in a better power supply or that fishtank case you’re keen on.

Yeah, I was thinking the same! Building a decent PC for €1000 is tough these days, especially with RAM prices being crazy. If you could stretch your budget to €1500, you'd have a lot more options. You might have to compromise on the aesthetics a bit, though.
