Hey everyone! I've been considering upgrading my RAM for a while now, especially since prices have stabilized a bit. I found a chance to grab a Crucial Ballistix BL8G32C16U4B.8FE 3200 MHz module (16GB). Since it matches the MHz, timings, and voltage of my current setup, I believe I can run this in dual-channel mode without any issues. Am I right about that? Are there any potential concerns I should be aware of before making the purchase? Budget-wise, a full 64GB kit is just too expensive for me at this time. I often play RAM-intensive games and also want to possibly host an Ark: SE or Minecraft server while gaming. Eventually, I plan to pass this PC on to my wife. Here are my current specs: Z370-P, i7-8700K, 2070 Super, and I'm currently using 32GB of Crucial Ballistix RGB (2x16GB).

Just a heads up, mixing RAM can sometimes lead to unexpected performance issues, even if they have the same specs. It's not common, but there's always a slight risk. If you're tight on budget, this is a reasonable compromise, though!
It looks like you have a solid setup! Since you're already using 32GB of Crucial Ballistix, adding that 16GB stick should work fine in dual-channel mode, as they all share the same specifications. Just keep an eye on the BIOS settings after installation to ensure it's recognizing everything correctly. Overall, it sounds like a great move!
Definitely make sure to check the timings in BIOS! It helps maintain system stability when adding new RAM.

Thanks for the tip! I guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed for smooth sailing.
