About a week ago, I installed a VPN, and it severely slowed down my internet speed to the point where downloads were only happening at kilobytes per second. I decided to uninstall the VPN hoping to fix the problem, but now my PC has been showing 'no internet, secured' for three days. I can open Chrome, but when I try to search for anything, it says the IP address cannot be found. I've also looked at Youtube tutorials, but nothing seems to work. What should I do?

I had a similar issue with a client. Their internet issues were resolved by creating a new user profile. If that doesn't work, you might have to consider doing a fresh install of Windows.
First, try checking your Internet Options to make sure you're set to DHCP. Sometimes that can fix connectivity issues after removing a VPN. Just go into your network settings and double-check those settings.
Try running some commands to reset your network. Open Command Prompt as an Administrator, and type these:
1. netsh winsock reset
2. ipconfig /flushdns
3. ipconfig /release
4. ipconfig /renew
Then restart your computer. This often helps in resolving connectivity issues.
It's also worth double-checking if your internet adapter is disabled. Go into your network properties and make sure your primary adapter, whether it's Ethernet or WiFi, is enabled.
It sounds like your DNS might be messed up. You can go to Device Manager and delete your network drivers, but just make sure you don't remove the installation files. When they restart, Windows should automatically reinstall the drivers.
