I recently installed a minor update on my laptop, and now it won't start at all—it just boots into safe mode. I tried deleting the updates, but that didn't help. I'm looking for advice on how to fix this situation without losing my data. Any suggestions?

Have you thought about reinstallation? If you're not getting anywhere, using a USB to reinstall Windows could be a good option. Just make sure you have a backup of your important files first!

It sounds like you might need to provide more details for anyone to help effectively. What make and model is your laptop? Also, what exact error code are you seeing when it tries to start? It could help narrow down the problem. If you don't remember the update details, you might want to consider reinstalling Windows as a last resort if nothing else works.

For your specific laptop model, the Katana 17 HX B14W, and error code 0x7B, it might be a driver issue or system corruption from the update. Sometimes accessing the BIOS settings or doing a system restore can help, but tread carefully to avoid data loss.
