Hey everyone! I'm currently facing some serious CPU bottlenecking with my Ryzen 5 5500, paired with an RX 6700 XT and 16GB of RAM. I mainly play flight simulator games but also enjoy Halo Infinite and a few others. I found a used i7 13700F for £180 that comes with a 5-year warranty, and my total budget is around £270. Should I go for this upgrade? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks! 😀

The Ryzen 7 5800X3D is excellent for flight simulators, and I've heard it's going back into production soon. That could be a solid choice if you find one.
If you can get your hands on a 5800X3D, that would be great! There's talk of a re-release to celebrate AMD's 10th anniversary of the AM4 platform, so keep an eye out for that.
If you're switching to Intel, you'll need a new motherboard, so keep that in mind. Personally, I would recommend looking at a Ryzen 7 5700X or something similar as an alternative.

I’ve also spotted a 5700X3D going for about £280 used. Would that be a decent option? What do you think?
