Hey everyone! I just got a new PC and I'm in the market for a monitor. I'm looking specifically at 1440p 240hz options, and I'm trying to decide if I should spend an extra 100 Swiss francs (about 120 USD) for an OLED model. The two monitors I'm considering are the AOC Q27G4ZR for the non-OLED and the AOC Q27G41ZDF for the OLED. Since I'm only 15, that $120 is a pretty significant deal for my budget. What do you all think? Is the upgrade to OLED worth it?

In my opinion, those $120 are worth it! I switched from a regular LED to an OLED, and while the image quality was good on my LED, the OLED is a game changer during intense gaming scenes. The dynamic range really shines. Just make sure it fits within your budget without causing stress!
If the $120 isn't going to hurt your living situation, I'd say go for the OLED! Those colors and contrast are just unmatched. But if you think it's too much of a stretch, you’ll still enjoy a great experience with a solid IPS monitor.
You’ll definitely notice a difference with an OLED, especially in terms of color quality and contrast. But, as you mentioned, it really depends on your budget. If $120 is a stretch for you, the IPS monitor will still be a solid choice and you’ll have plenty of fun gaming on it.
Yeah, and don't forget, if you're not gaming competitively, the difference might not be as pronounced.
Absolutely go for the OLED! The investment is worth it in terms of gaming experience, especially in darker scenes. I made the switch and it significantly improved my gameplay graphics!

Exactly! As long as you're aiming for decent performance, a good IPS monitor will do the job just fine for gaming without breaking the bank.
