I'm considering upgrading my GPU for 1440p gaming and I need some advice. Here are my current specs: I have a 14600k processor (just upgraded from a 12100f), a 1660 Super, and I'm using a 240mm Thermalright Aqua V6 cooler. I also have 32GB of Corsair RAM, an MSI B760M-A DDR4 WiFi motherboard, a Teamgroup MP44L SSD, and a 2023 Corsair RM750e power supply. I'm looking to spend around $500, including tax. I was eyeing the 9060 XT, which is priced at $439.99 (about $473 after tax on Newegg), and the 5060 Ti at $479.99 ($515.99 after tax on Amazon). My friends suggest that I should go for the 5060 Ti unless the 9060 XT goes on sale. Is that good advice, or should I just get the 9060 XT?

If you can stretch your budget a bit, consider aiming for the 5070. It's significantly better for 1440p gaming than the others you mentioned. You'll notice a big difference in performance.
The 9060 XT is decent for 1440p, averaging around 60-100 fps without FSR, but if you want smoother gameplay closer to 100-150 fps, go for the 5070 or 9070 XT. I had the 5070 and loved it for both 1440p and 4K gaming. It's a great investment!
I'd recommend saving just a little longer for the 5070. Alternatively, the 9070 would be an even better choice if you can manage it. The 9060 XT is solid but not the best in that price range for future-proofing.
