What Should I Upgrade First for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 at 1440p?

I'm trying to decide which component to upgrade next for playing Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, as it's a pretty demanding game. My FPS counter shows that I'm mainly limited by the CPU (MainThread) rather than the GPU. I've heard varying opinions about needing 64GB of RAM, whether my RAM latency (CL48) is too high, and if I should be concerned about DRAM on my SSD. Here's my current build:

- CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- Cooler: Thermalright AXP90-X47 (worried about potential thermal throttling)
- GPU: PowerColor Reaper Radeon RX 9070 XT
- RAM: Crucial Pro 48 GB (2 x 24 GB) DDR5-6000 CL48
- SSD: Lexar NQ790 2 TB (concerns about DRAM)
- Case: FormD T1 V2.1 (open sides, thinking about fans)
- PSU: Corsair SF750
- EXPO is ON
- ReBar is OFF

I feel like my CPU is the bottleneck, but I'm unsure if upgrading now will provide noticeable improvements. I'm also experiencing stuttering if I increase texture resolution or TLOD/OLD too much. A friend with a different build has way quicker loading times than I do, and I'm wondering if that's an issue with my setup or if I should consider reinstalling Windows to improve performance. I'm looking for solid advice on meaningful upgrades without wasting money on minor gains. Thanks!

Honestly, your setup is pretty solid for MSFS 2024. Upgrading right now might not be necessary unless you're desperate to throw down a lot of cash on something like a new GPU. If loading times are a concern, you might want to check if your SSD is too full—that can definitely slow things down!

Yeah, I'm currently at 90% capacity on my 2TB drive. How much does that impact loading times? I guess it’s time for a clean-up or maybe grabbing another drive.
