I'm trying to install Windows on my SSD to play games that won't run on Linux. I've used the Windows Media Creation Tool and reached the step where I need to choose where to install Windows. However, the only drive I'm seeing is the USB that has the installation media on it, and I can't figure out why my SSD isn't being recognized. I've reformatted the SSD to NTFS, exFAT, and even tried setting it as unallocated using KDE Partition Manager, but nothing seems to be working. The SSD is 476.94 GiB and is identified as "/dev/nvme1n1". Should I try a different formatting tool, or does anyone have tips on how to make the SSD appear during the setup? It sounds like you might be trying to install Windows without the SSD being properly set up in the BIOS/UEFI. Make sure the SSD is detected there first. If it is, try creating a new partition on it with the installation media before you start the installation—sometimes that can help it show up. Also, ensure that your installation USB is correctly created using the Media Creation Tool, and maybe try a different USB port if you're still having issues.
