I currently have an R5 5600x paired with an RTX 3060 Ti, along with 32GB of DDR4 RAM and a 650W power supply. I typically game at 1440p and can hit around 300fps in competitive games. However, when it comes to more demanding titles, I face some performance issues. Do I just need to upgrade the GPU? Would moving to a 5070 be a good idea? What's the most cost-effective upgrade for me? Also, is switching to AM5 necessary?

You don’t really need to switch to AM5. A 9060xt with 16GB should work well with your current PSU, and while you might lose a tiny bit of performance because it's PCIe 4.0 on a 5.0 board, it’ll still perform pretty good for your needs.

That's good to know! But I'm curious, do you think I might experience a performance hit if I don’t upgrade my CPU?
