Hey everyone! I'm working on my future PC build and noticed that my ASUS A520M-K motherboard has 6 standoff holes, while my ANTEC NX416L case has 7. I've read that standoffs can be risky for the motherboard if they touch it, which has me a bit concerned. Should I consider upgrading to a B550 motherboard since they usually have 8 or 9 holes?

You can definitely adjust the standoffs! Just make sure there's a standoff where there's a hole in the motherboard and remove any standoffs that don't line up with holes. It's not an issue at all!
I say go for the B550! And yes, you can easily remove or adjust those pre-installed standoffs in your case. They're just screwed in. If you're looking for recommendations on B550 motherboards, I can help with that too!
Oh cool, so those can be removed! Any suggestions on where I can find a good B550 motherboard? Also, is it a problem if the B550 has more standoff holes than the case?
