The numbers people hear are generally enterprise-budget figures rather than small software subscriptions. Some estimates put the minimum around $50,000–$60,000 per year, while larger or more feature-heavy deployments can reach $100,000 or more. The vendor usually needs details about node count and requirements before giving a firm quote.
The pricing seems to be based largely on the number of nodes and which features you need. A figure of roughly $1,000 per node is sometimes mentioned, but that should be treated as a very rough estimate. Features such as cluster mesh can increase the total.
The main value is the commercial support contract, access to feature requests, and help resolving issues without relying entirely on community fixes. Depending on the package, there may also be advanced networking features, Hubble capabilities, BFD, and virtualization support.
