I'm planning to build a new gaming PC, but I'm not sure where to begin or how to choose compatible parts. My current computer is about 10 years old, so I'm looking for a substantial upgrade rather than replacing just one component. I'm hoping to play demanding games such as God of War and The Last of Us, and my budget is around $2,400, although I can save longer if that would significantly improve longevity. How do I determine the performance level I need, choose between brands, and balance the CPU, graphics card, memory, storage, motherboard, and other parts?
