I'm running a Ryzen 5 7600X with a DDR5-7600 memory kit, but the RAM is currently operating at 4800 MT/s. Is it safe to enable the advertised 7600 speed, or would a lower setting be better for performance and stability?

For this processor, DDR5-6000 is usually the practical sweet spot, especially with low latency. Around 6000, the memory clock and memory controller can typically run in a 1:1 ratio. Faster settings may force a 2:1 ratio, which can erase or even outweigh the benefit of the higher frequency. Aim for an FCLK near 2000 if your system is stable, and check whether the memory has a 6000 EXPO profile. Otherwise, you may need to configure the speed and timings manually.
You can try the EXPO configuration first, but don’t assume the advertised 7600 speed is guaranteed with this CPU and motherboard combination. If the system crashes, fails to boot, or shows memory errors, step down to 6000 or another stable setting and test it there.
Start by checking your BIOS for an EXPO profile and enable it if available. That will apply the kit’s tested settings automatically, but DDR5-7600 may not be stable on every Ryzen 5 7600X system.
