I'm wondering if it's safe to take out my GPU and put it back in while my PC is turned off. I made sure to shut it down normally instead of holding the power button for 20 seconds, and I've also unplugged my power cables from the outlet. Is there anything else I should consider?

You did it correctly! As long as everything was off and the power was disconnected, you should be fine. The 20-second power button hold is usually not needed in most cases.
Absolutely! You can remove and reinstall your GPU as long as your PC is powered off completely. Just ensure that you’ve unplugged the power cable to be extra safe. It sounds like you took the right precautions by shutting down the PC normally and disconnecting the power.
What if I didn’t unplug the power? Is that really necessary?
It's safest to unplug the power just to eliminate any chance of a short. Better safe than sorry!
Yeah, it's perfectly fine as long as you shut down the PC properly. Just make sure you're not doing this with power on, which can damage components.
Thanks! That eases my worries.
