I'm trying to wall-mount a Samsung UA55M2EHAULXL 55-inch Mini LED 4K TV with an Amazon Basics full-motion mount designed for 32–55-inch TVs. Both the TV and mount support a 200 × 200 mm VESA pattern, so they should be compatible. The issue is that the four VESA mounting points on the back of the TV don't appear to have visible metal threads. Instead, each one contains a plastic insert with the number "7" molded inside it. I'm unsure whether these are shipping plugs that should be removed, or whether the threaded metal inserts are recessed farther inside. Has anyone mounted this exact TV or a similar Samsung model? If the inserts need to come out, what is the safest removal method, and should I use the spacers or particular screws supplied with the wall-mount kit? I want to avoid damaging the TV, especially since the manual doesn't explain the wall-mount hardware or whether these inserts should be removed.

I’d avoid pulling or prying anything out until Samsung confirms what those pieces are. The documentation for this model apparently lists the VESA pattern but doesn’t clearly explain the wall-mount procedure or included hardware. Support should be able to confirm whether the plastic parts are shipping plugs and specify the correct screw length before you install the bracket.
Some Samsung TVs use removable plastic plugs in the VESA holes, with the actual threaded mounting points recessed farther inside. If these are the same type, they may come out with gentle finger pressure, but don’t force them, use a drill, or insert an overly long screw. Check whether the mount’s screws reach a solid metal thread and use the supplied spacers if the bracket doesn’t sit flat. Since this exact model hasn’t been confirmed, it’s safest to verify the hole depth and screw size with Samsung first.
That missing installation information is what would concern me too. The specifications and product images indicate wall mounting is supported, but the physical setup instructions don’t seem to explain the VESA holes or hardware.
