What’s the easiest way to track Windows, Android, and iPhone devices together?

I'm starting college soon and want a simple way to locate my devices if they're lost or stolen. I use a Windows laptop, an Android tablet, and an iPhone, so I can't depend entirely on Apple's Find My or Google's Find My Device. Are there any apps or practical methods that can track all three platforms with minimal hassle?

Since you have an iPhone, AirTags can be useful for bags or other equipment. You could hide one inside your laptop bag or backpack, since their location network is especially broad. They aren’t a complete replacement for device-tracking apps, but they add another layer for finding belongings.

A good plan should be layered: enable the built-in tracking services on each device, use strong passcodes, keep backups, and add a lock-screen message with a way to contact you. Also make a habit of checking that you have all your devices before leaving somewhere. No single tracker is guaranteed to work if a device is turned off or disconnected.

Prey is worth looking into because it supports multiple platforms and can help locate, lock, or report devices. FollowMee is another cross-platform option, although you’ll want to check which features are available on each operating system. Set everything up before anything goes missing, and test the recovery features ahead of time.
