I recently finished my PC build, but the seller still allows me to swap the CPU and RAM. My current choices are a Ryzen 7 9850X3D for $490 or a Ryzen 7 9800X3D for $435, along with either T-Force Xtreem DDR5-6400 CL32 for $435 or KLEVV CRAS V DDR5-6000 CL30 for $445. I mainly chose the T-Force memory because I really like its glass-like finish and RGB, since aesthetics matter a lot to me. The GPU is an ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 5070 12GB OC, which cost $825. I chose it instead of an RTX 5070 Ti because the price difference locally is roughly $300–$410, and I would rather put that money toward an OLED 1440p monitor. I mostly play CPU-heavy competitive games such as Dota 2, Valorant, and PUBG, with newer single-player games played less often. My main goal is improving frame rates and 1% lows in those games. Since I live in the Philippines, high-end RTX 5070 models usually cost around $1,060–$1,070, while RTX 5070 Ti models are generally $1,250–$1,385. Given those prices, should I keep this CPU and GPU combination, or would switching parts give me a better-balanced system?

The RTX 5070 Ti would be the more balanced choice for modern 1440p games, but the answer depends heavily on your local pricing. At only a small premium, it would make sense to move up. At a $300–$410 difference, keeping the RTX 5070 and buying the OLED monitor is completely reasonable, especially since your main games are Valorant, Dota 2, and PUBG rather than demanding single-player titles.
The RAM choice is mostly about looks and tuning rather than a major gaming-performance difference. DDR5-6000 with tighter timings is usually an easier and safer configuration for Ryzen, while DDR5-6400 can require more tweaking and may not outperform it consistently. If aesthetics are important to you, keeping the T-Force kit is fine, but the KLEVV kit is probably the more practical option. Also check the rest of the build carefully—an expensive motherboard, cooler, or other premium parts may be a better place to save money than the CPU.
The Radeon alternatives offer strong value, with performance around the RTX 5070 Ti in some games, but GPU choice is not only about price or benchmark results. If you have repeatedly had driver or compatibility problems with Radeon cards and do not want to use one again, there is no point forcing yourself into that option. Your Nvidia-based build is still capable; just make sure the power supply, cooling, and motherboard are appropriate and avoid expecting the RTX 5070 to perform like a 5070 Ti in demanding games.
For competitive games, the X3D CPU should deliver excellent frame rates and 1% lows, but the 9850X3D is probably more CPU than you need for an RTX 5070. A 9800X3D—or even a cheaper X3D model if available—would likely feel very similar at 1440p. The money saved would be more useful toward a stronger GPU, assuming the local price gap to the 5070 Ti is genuinely that large.

That was my thinking too. The 5070 Ti costs much more here than it does in some other countries, so I preferred to spend the difference on the monitor. If performance ends up disappointing, I can still trade up later.
