I'm new to AI and I'm curious about which platforms are currently the best options available. I've heard about Deepseek, ChatGPT, Kimi, and Qwen, among others. In your opinion, or based on research and statistics, what would you recommend as the best platform for university use? I'm particularly interested in tools that can help with explaining materials, creating flashcards, and other learning aids. Thanks in advance for your insights!

I found Groq recently, and their API pricing is significantly lower, which is a plus for those looking to save!

For APIs, I typically use the 4.1 mini or 1.5 flash for the best value.

Honestly, Cursor is worth checking out right now. For $20 a month, you get access to several models from different companies, all using a common context framework, which helps in evaluating them side by side. My favorite is Claude 3.7, but I also find switching to Gemini or OpenAI handy when I get stuck.

I'm working on a metered platform that's designed to be budget-friendly for students. It allows for flexible usage and gives access to most top models, though it’s still in development and not available yet.

If your primary use is coding, Gemini is great! However, if you’re not coding, then ChatGPT might be your best bet. Just a heads-up though, Claude is often praised for coding, but it has its quirks too!

I think Gemini is decent for coding but Claude really stands out as the best. I usually work with Claude for coding and use ChatGPT as a backup. Remember, Gemini tends to favor longer contexts!

It's important to clarify what 'best' means for you. Are you looking for the most intelligent AI, the best at coding, or the one with the most features? Different platforms excel in different areas!

I think Google One currently outshines the competition across the board based on various tests.

Given the current landscape, you might end up opting for ChatGPT Pro or Gemini Pro, which are leading options. Super Grok could also become a serious contender soon. Other models like Copilot, Claude, and DeepSeek remain good but don't quite match the top-tier choices.

For straightforward tasks, I still think ChatGPT is a solid choice!
