Make sure you build a strong networking foundation alongside your Red Hat training. Understanding subnets, VLANs, ARP, routing, and basic troubleshooting makes it much easier to diagnose server issues and work effectively with the network team. You don't need to become a network architect, but studying material at roughly the CCNA level can be valuable in almost any IT role.

Security is another strong direction. Learn how to harden Red Hat systems, maintain secure configurations, understand common ways attackers gain access, and factor security into your designs from the beginning. That combination of administration and security knowledge is extremely useful when maintaining production servers.

Rather than rushing through more courses, make sure you can apply what you've already learned. Build labs, repeat the exercises, and practice tasks such as securing a web server, deploying services, and hosting a database.
