Why Is Minecraft Bedrock Stuttering So Badly on Bazzite?

I recently switched from Windows 11 to Bazzite Linux. The installation went smoothly, but my games—especially Minecraft Bedrock Edition through the Nix/MCPe launcher—now perform much worse. On Windows, I could maintain around 144 FPS with stable frame times, while Bazzite fluctuates between 10 and 60 FPS, sometimes reaching frame times of about 40 ms, with constant stuttering. I'm new to Bazzite and have already checked the display refresh rate and tried toggling VSync without improvement. My system has an Nvidia RTX 3050, an Intel Core i7 processor, and 12 GB of RAM. What should I check or change to improve gaming performance?

Bedrock on Linux has to run through an Android compatibility or translation layer, so it may not perform like the native Windows version. That extra layer can cause poor frame pacing and stuttering, especially with a launcher that is still handling the game indirectly. If possible, try Minecraft Java Edition, since it generally has better Linux support and may perform more consistently.

I mainly need Bedrock because my friends all play that edition. I had heard it could still run smoothly through Nix, so I was hoping there might be a configuration or driver issue causing the stuttering.
