I'm reinstalling my graphics driver and need to download the correct full AMD package. I have an Acer Aspire Lite 15, model AL15-42P, but I'm not sure which GPU it uses. How can I identify the exact graphics hardware without relying on AMD's automatic driver installer?

You can find it through Device Manager: expand Display adapters, select the listed graphics device, then open Properties > Details > Hardware Ids. Copy the longest hardware ID and search it to identify the GPU. If Windows only shows a generic display adapter, this method can still reveal the underlying hardware.

You can also use a hardware-information tool such as GPU-Z or HWiNFO to display the exact GPU name and driver details. Once you know the processor or Radeon model, download the matching driver manually from AMD or Acer instead of using automatic detection.

The Aspire Lite 15 is sold with several different configurations, so the exact model number matters. For the AL15-42P, the graphics are likely integrated Radeon graphics built into the AMD processor, but you should confirm the specific processor and GPU before downloading a driver. Check the model’s specifications on Acer’s support site or look in Windows under Settings > System > About for the processor model.
