How can I archive recordings from a Samsung BD-E8300 to a USB drive?

I recently acquired a Samsung BD-E8300 Blu-ray player/recorder containing rare recordings that I want to preserve. I'm currently away from home and can't transfer the content directly, so I'm wondering whether the device supports copying its recordings to a USB drive and, if so, what steps or limitations apply.

The exact model matters here, and the device is a Samsung BD-E8300. These units often store recordings on an internal hard drive in a proprietary or encrypted format. The USB port may only support playback or limited file transfers, and copy-protection rules can prevent recordings from being exported as ordinary video files. Check the model’s manual for a recording backup or USB export option before assuming the content can be copied.

Thanks, the model is definitely BD-E8300. I’ll check its manual for whether USB export is supported and what format the recordings use.
