My apartment's internet service is provided through Cox. A few months ago, the Wi‑Fi password was changed, and since then my Vizio TV has refused to connect to the unit's wireless network. The TV only displays "Unable to Connect to Network," rather than reporting an incorrect password. Cox has checked the service, sent a technician, and insists the problem is with the TV. I've already factory-reset the TV several times, restarted the internet equipment, entered the new Wi‑Fi password repeatedly, and tried adjusting the DHCP settings. The TV still won't connect. What else should I check?

Since this is a wireless connection, first make sure the TV has the exact current network name and password saved. Forget the old network before entering the new credentials, because a password change can leave the TV trying to use outdated network information.
The fact that the TV says it cannot connect—not that the password is wrong—could point to a compatibility issue with the apartment network. If possible, test the TV with a phone hotspot or another separate Wi‑Fi network. If it connects there, the TV is probably fine and the building network may need to support the TV’s connection or allow its device on the network.

I’d also confirm whether the apartment Wi‑Fi offers a 2.4 GHz network, since some older Vizio models have trouble with certain 5 GHz or managed networks.
