This is my first time building a PC, and a friend helped me choose the parts. Before I buy anything, I would appreciate a second opinion on compatibility, reliability, and overall value. I do not have a strict budget, and the system will be used mainly for general gaming at 4K resolution along with everyday tasks. I already have a 4K monitor included in my parts list, so I am primarily looking for advice about the PC tower and whether it will handle modern games at that resolution without requiring extensive troubleshooting or upgrades. I am located in the United States and would prefer a dependable system that works well out of the box.

I would compare prices across several retailers instead of buying every part from one store. A parts-list site can also check compatibility automatically. For 4K gaming, an RTX 5080 would give you a lot more headroom for modern AAA games, while an RTX 5070 Ti can still work if you are comfortable lowering a few settings or using upscaling. You may also find worthwhile savings through a motherboard-and-CPU bundle. An AMD AM5 gaming setup is worth considering because it can offer better gaming performance and upgrade flexibility than the original Intel-based selection.
For a flexible-budget 4K system, I would start over rather than buy the current list. A 5080 is a strong choice if you want high settings and consistent performance, but it is not mandatory. A 5070 Ti is perfectly reasonable if you are willing to tune settings, use upscaling, or accept lower frame rates in the most demanding games. You should also reconsider the monitor size: 4K tends to make more sense at 32 inches or larger, while 1440p can look nearly as sharp on a 27-inch display and usually allows much higher refresh rates. A white build is possible, but white versions of high-end graphics cards often cost significantly more, so using a black GPU in a white case may be better value.
I am fine with a black build too. Would you recommend switching to 1440p, or is 4K still worthwhile? And is the 5080 necessary, or could I stay with the 5070 Ti?
That sounds cheaper than my original list. Would the AMD setup be a better choice overall? I do not really care about the color, although I initially leaned toward a white build.
