My PC takes roughly five minutes to restart before loading Windows 11. The system uses an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, an RTX 4090, 32GB of DDR5-6000 memory rated for XMP rather than EXPO, and a TUF GAMING X870-PRO WIFI7 W NEO motherboard. I suspect the delay may be caused by DDR5 memory training during reboot. Could enabling Memory Context Restore—or changing another BIOS setting—reduce restart times without making the system unstable?

A long restart can also be caused by a storage device taking too long to respond, especially if a drive is beginning to fail. Check every drive with a SMART health utility such as CrystalDiskInfo and look for warnings, errors, or unusually high temperatures.
Try enabling Memory Context Restore in the BIOS. It allows the system to reuse previously trained memory settings instead of performing a full memory-training cycle on every restart. The exact location varies, but it is usually under the AMD overclocking or memory settings. If the system becomes unstable, disable it again or test the memory at more conservative settings.
I haven’t enabled it yet. I’ll look for that setting in the BIOS and test whether it improves restart times.

I’ll check the drives as well in case the delay isn’t related to memory training.
