Hey everyone! I'm looking for some recommendations for a used NVIDIA GPU for under $350. Here are my current specs for reference: MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max motherboard, Ryzen 5 2600 CPU, 32GB RAM (16x2) at 2933MHz, and an EVGA 600W Bronze power supply. I currently have an MSI GTX 1660 Super. I need a GPU mainly for 3D modeling and some gaming, using software like Blender, Substance, and UE5.
Here are my specific requirements:
- It must be an NVIDIA GPU due to software constraints, with at least 10GB of VRAM and decent ray tracing (RTX capabilities).
- It should consume under 250 watts, as I'm currently using about 190 watts.
- Ideally, I'd like to spend around $300, but I can stretch up to $400 if necessary.
I'm considering the RTX 3060 (12GB) and the RTX 2080 Ti (11GB), both around $300, but I'm open to any NVIDIA RTX options that fit my VRAM and power constraints. I also hope to find something that will last a few years without becoming obsolete. Thanks for your help!

$300 for a used 3060 seems way too high. I often find them under $200 on hardware swapping sites. You might also consider RTX 3070s or 6800XTs, as they often fall under your budget, around $350.
You might find a used RTX 3080 lurking around your budget, but it's at the high end. Just be on the lookout for a local cash deal—it might take a bit to find one!
If you're planning to sell your GTX 1660 Super, that could change your budget dynamics. You might want to consider the RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB if it's available for around $479. You'll probably get around $100 for your current GPU, so it could work out!
Exactly! It’s wild how the pricing works at times.
Definitely look into a used RTX 3080. Just make sure to lower the power limit a little if you go for it. It will give you great performance!
You should definitely keep an eye out for RTX 3070 Ti or RTX 3080. Depending on where you live, I’ve seen them going for around $300-$350. Definitely worth checking out!
I didn't realize they could go that low! I'll keep searching then.
That sounds interesting, but how is a newer 50 series card only $479 compared to older used cards? Seems a bit off!
