I accidentally got a tiny amount of thermal paste around the edge of two pins on my Ryzen 5 5500X3D, so I cleaned the area with 70% isopropyl alcohol. I later noticed that the alcohol contains moisturizer. Is the CPU likely damaged, or should I clean it again with higher-purity alcohol before installing it?

Give it plenty of time to evaporate. CPUs and other electronics can tolerate being cleaned with isopropyl alcohol as long as no liquid remains when power is applied. Higher-percentage alcohol generally dries faster and leaves less residue.
It’s probably fine. Most moisturizers aren’t electrically conductive, but I’d still let the CPU dry completely before installing it. If you can, clean the area again with electronics-grade or higher-percentage isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free tool to remove any residue.

The main concern is leftover residue, not the alcohol itself. If the thermal paste wasn’t conductive, the small amount around the pins is unlikely to have killed the processor. Let everything dry fully, inspect the pins carefully, and clean once more with proper electronics-safe alcohol if any film remains.
It should be okay to leave it in the original plastic tray while it dries. You can use a blower from a distance with cool, gentle airflow, but don’t use heat or blast the pins directly.
