I'm considering this Lenovo LOQ tower as a fairly basic gaming PC that I can improve over time. My main concern is whether any components—especially the motherboard, case layout, or internal spacing—will limit future upgrades. I understand it uses a mid-size case, and I probably won't install a graphics card larger than 12 GB of VRAM. Aside from that, are there any major issues or upgrade limitations I should know about?

The biggest limitation is the processor: it’s soldered directly to the motherboard, so you can’t replace the CPU by itself. A future CPU upgrade would require replacing the motherboard as well, and a proprietary prebuilt motherboard may make that more complicated. The case and internal layout could also limit which standard components fit, so check the power supply, motherboard dimensions, cooling, and graphics-card clearance before planning major upgrades.
I’m already expecting that I may eventually replace the case, so replacing the motherboard at the same time as the CPU doesn’t seem like a huge problem. I’m mainly trying to make sure there aren’t other major restrictions I’m overlooking.
