Which Precision Boost Overdrive setting should I enable?

My BIOS appears to show two different Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO) options, and I'm not sure how they should be configured. Should I enable both, leave one on Auto and enable the other, or configure PBO only through AMD's software in Windows and ignore the BIOS settings?

Leaving PBO set to Auto is generally fine. The processor can enable its normal boost behavior automatically when temperatures and available power allow it.

That makes sense—I didn’t realize Auto could handle the boost behavior on its own.

Use the PBO controls in the BIOS rather than configuring the feature through third-party or Windows software. It’s best not to enable or manage both at the same time, since that can make the settings confusing or lead to unexpected behavior.
