Can I safely delete Treexy Driver Fusion’s history to free up space?

Treexy Driver Fusion is using around 100–200 GB for its stored history, and I'm trying to reclaim space on my PC. I originally used the program to install drivers and have a subscription, but I'm not sure whether deleting its history—or uninstalling the program entirely—could remove my currently installed drivers or cause problems. Is it safe to delete those files, and is Driver Fusion even necessary if I stop using it?

The stored history and backup files are separate from the drivers currently installed in Windows, so deleting Driver Fusion’s history should not remove your active drivers. Still, check that you’re deleting only the program’s history or backup folder, not Windows driver files. If you no longer use the software, uninstalling Driver Fusion is also generally fine; Windows can manage normal driver updates on its own.

So deleting the large history folder shouldn’t affect my installed drivers? I mainly want to free the space without breaking anything.

If you installed it once and don’t rely on its special features, you probably don’t need it anymore. You can remove the history from within the application first, then uninstall Driver Fusion through Windows Settings if you’re finished with it. Avoid manually deleting random files from system folders, since those may be unrelated to the program.

I originally used it when I first set up the PC, but I don’t really know what it does now. Uninstalling it sounds like the better option if Windows can handle the drivers.
