Hey everyone! I've got a few questions regarding my current setup. I'm using an Intel i5-12600KF, DDR4 RAM, and a DDR4 motherboard (Z690 Gaming X DDR4). I'm considering upgrading to an AM5 Ryzen 7 7800X3D to pair it with my RTX 4070 Super—should I go for it? Also, I'm stuck choosing between the Gigabyte B850 Aorus Elite WIFI7 and the Gigabyte X870 Aorus Elite WIFI7. Can someone explain the differences in simple terms? Additionally, I plan to store about 2 Samsung 990 Pro SSDs; will either motherboard work better for gaming? Lastly, I'm looking for suggestions on DDR5 RAM to pair with the 7800X3D. I keep seeing the G.Skill Z5 Neo RGB 6000 CL30 mentioned—any idea why it's popular?

I think upgrading your CPU platform now might not give you a huge performance boost with the RTX 4070. It might not be worth the cost right now, especially if you're generally happy with your current setup.
I hear you. But what about future-proofing? Should I just upgrade the platform now?
