What’s up with the new 64-word limit for saved memories?

I've been testing the memory feature and noticed something odd. When I try to save a memory that's 65 words or more, it claims to save successfully, but when I check, the memory isn't actually there. However, if I trim it down to 64 words, it saves without any issues. Is anyone else experiencing this? What's going on?

Yeah, a lot of people seem to be dealing with this issue! Some are calling it a bug, while others think it might be a new restriction, but OpenAI hasn’t officially confirmed anything. Just yesterday, saving memories was working fine for me, so this change is pretty confusing.

I feel you, it's so strange! Why specifically 64 words though?

I’ve noticed the same thing! It’s annoying because I was able to save longer memories just a day ago. Now, it’s like just one or two sentences are all that can be stored. What’s going on with the system?

I’m also dealing with this issue! It seems like a lot of us are on the same page about this frustrating change. Anyone know if existing memories are still safe?

Yeah, mine seem to be fine. They’re still there even after this change.

For what it’s worth, I found some release notes that mentions they made adjustments to the memory feature recently, but they didn’t specify any word limits. It's all very vague right now.
