I'm planning to build my first PC next year and want to make sure these parts will work together: an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, ASRock B450 Pro4 motherboard, 16GB of DDR4-3000 memory, an RX 7600 graphics card, a 650W power supply, an MS Armor V740 case, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. I'm especially concerned that the B450 motherboard might have an older BIOS version that doesn't support the Ryzen 5 5600X. My budget is around €1,300, but I won't be buying until May, so prices and part choices may change.

The CPU, DDR4 memory, RX 7600, NVMe drive, and a decent 650W PSU are generally a sensible combination. Just make sure the power supply is from a reputable model rather than choosing only by wattage, and confirm that the case supports the graphics card’s length and the motherboard’s ATX form factor. The SSD can use the board’s M.2 slot.
Since you’re buying several months from now, don’t lock in the parts list yet. Prices, available models, and better-value platforms could change by then. Recheck everything one to three months before purchasing and use a compatibility checker to catch clearance, BIOS, and power-connector issues. Your roughly €1,300 budget should give you room to adjust the build.
The parts should be compatible, but the main issue is the motherboard BIOS. The B450 Pro4 needs a BIOS version with Ryzen 5000 support, and older stock may not have been updated. Check the exact revision and BIOS version before buying. If possible, choose a B550 board instead, since it will usually support the 5600X without this concern and may not cost much more.
That BIOS issue was the part I was worried about. I’ll compare B550 prices and check whether the board has already been updated before buying.
I’m waiting until May because I’ll be receiving the money as part of my confirmation, so I’ll revisit the list closer to then and see how much I actually have to spend.
