My Ryzen 5 3600 feels like it's holding back my system, especially since it's getting older. I'm using an Asus TUF GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, and I'm looking for a CPU upgrade that can better match it. Any recommendations?

If you're set on upgrading to the AM5 platform, you could look at the 7700x or 9700x. But honestly, with a 3060 Ti, a used 5800x would be a much smarter and more cost-effective upgrade.
For a big leap in performance, definitely consider the 5800x3d or even the 5700x3d. Even a 5600x is a decent upgrade. I’ve seen the 5700x3d go for a reasonable price where I live; it's a worthy buy!
I’d recommend picking up a used 5800x or 5800x3d. They’re solid CPUs and can really boost performance. I’ve been using one with a 3070 Ti and it’s still going strong!
I agree! The 5800x really seems to hit the sweet spot without overdoing it for my current GPU.
