I'm currently using an i5-12400F, RTX 4060, and 32GB of DDR4 memory. I'm considering upgrading to either an RX 9060 XT 16GB or an RX 9070 XT because I've heard graphics card prices may increase. I play at 1080p right now but would like to move to 1440p if I upgrade. Is it worth buying soon, or would waiting be the better choice?

At 1080p, either card may be more than you need depending on your games, so the upgrade makes the most sense alongside a move to 1440p. Your i5-12400F should generally be fine for 1440p, although very high frame rates in CPU-heavy games could still be limited by the processor. If you aren’t in a hurry, compare actual current prices and wait for a sale; otherwise, the 9070 XT is the better performance-focused option.
The RX 9070 XT is a much larger upgrade from the RTX 4060 and should give you a noticeable 1440p experience. The 9060 XT would still be an improvement, but it may feel less worthwhile if you’re spending enough to make the jump to the 9070 XT possible. Check local pricing rather than buying purely because of rumors, and make sure your power supply and case can handle the new card.
