I'm shopping in the $200–$250 range in Bangladesh, where GPU prices and availability are very different from other markets. The RTX 3060, RTX 2070 Super, RX 6650 XT, and RX 7600 aren't realistically available to me, so my main options are an RX 6600 XT and an Intel Arc A750. The Arc card is cheaper and easier to find locally. I know Intel's early driver problems have improved, and I've heard that its Vulkan support and compatibility layers work much better now. Is the A750 a reasonable choice today, or is the RX 6600 XT still the safer and faster option?

I’d lean toward the RX 6600 XT if you can find one at a reasonable price. It’s generally faster and more consistent, performs around RTX 3060 territory in many games, and doesn’t depend as heavily on Resizable BAR or a specific PCIe platform. The Arc A750 has improved a lot, but the Radeon is still the safer plug-and-play choice.
A used RTX 4060 would also be worth checking locally, since it generally beats both of these cards. However, if prices in Bangladesh put it well outside your budget, I’d prioritize the RX 6600 XT. Choose the A750 mainly if it’s considerably cheaper and your system supports PCIe 4.0 with Resizable BAR enabled.
The A750 can be worthwhile if it’s significantly cheaper, especially for Vulkan games, but check your CPU and motherboard first. Arc performs best with PCIe 4.0 and Resizable BAR enabled; older systems can lose enough performance to make the cheaper price less attractive. Intel’s drivers are much better than they were at launch, but game-to-game consistency still isn’t quite at Radeon’s level.
Exactly. I wouldn’t choose the Arc based only on the Vulkan layer. It helps in some situations, but it doesn’t remove the platform requirements or all driver-related quirks.
That makes sense. Availability is the main problem, but I’ll try to find an RX 6600 XT before settling on the Arc.
