I already have the case and plan to use the stock CPU cooler. I'm considering the remaining parts from my PCPartPicker list, but I'm not sure whether the component choices are well balanced or if anything should be replaced. I'm especially unsure about the graphics card, SSD, and power supply, and I'm open to buying used parts if that makes the build better value.

There’s nothing fundamentally wrong with the build, although the case is much more expensive than the rest of the components. The SSD may be difficult to find at its listed price because that model is discontinued, so a current 1TB TLC NVMe drive could be a better option. The RX 6600 XT is also poor value if you’re paying around $400; newer cards offer substantially better performance for less. If you’re buying used, a reasonably priced RTX 2070 Super or RX 6700 XT would make more sense. The power supply is worth upgrading as well—a slightly more expensive, higher-quality 650W model would be a safer choice.
Yes, the RX 6700 XT would be a noticeably better graphics card, especially if you want to play at 1440p. At that price it could be worthwhile, but check its condition, warranty, power connectors, and whether your power supply can provide enough power. Compare it with newer cards before buying, since a newer model may offer better efficiency and features even if its raw performance is similar.
I mainly chose the case because I liked its appearance, and I found it at a good price. I’m planning to buy the other parts used too, so hopefully I can avoid the worst of the inflated prices. Would an RX 6700 XT for about £285 be a better choice than the RX 6600 XT?
