I'm completely new to building PCs and have been researching parts, but I'm still unsure what would work well together. I live in Italy and expect to buy most components from local online retailers for convenient shipping and returns. The main use will be gaming. I'm not aiming for extreme performance, but I'd like to play current and upcoming games—including GTA 6—at a console-like experience in 1080p or 1440p. My budget is roughly €800–900, although I know current RAM and SSD prices may make that difficult. I also need peripherals, unless the budget should cover the tower only. Ideally, the system should use a platform that leaves plenty of room for future upgrades.

A build using only new components is possible, but the strongest option I found was about €150 over your limit, and not every part was available from the same retailer. It would still provide a better upgrade path. If you need to stay close to €900, I’d strongly consider buying a used GPU while keeping the motherboard, power supply, storage, and case new.
At this budget, used parts—especially the graphics card—will give you much better performance. One possible build is a used Ryzen 5 5600 for around €110, a used RTX 3080 for about €300, 16GB of DDR4-3200 memory for roughly €70, a B550 motherboard around €93, a 1TB NVMe SSD near €93, an inexpensive case for about €58, and a quality 850W power supply around €100. That comes to approximately €824. It should handle 1080p very well and 1440p at high settings in most games, though poorly optimized titles may need medium settings. Make sure a used processor includes its cooler, or budget for an aftermarket one.
Used-parts retailers can also be worth checking because some offer a warranty. That can be safer than buying privately, especially for the graphics card.
