My monitor suddenly started showing colors with much higher saturation and contrast than normal after I turned on my computer today. I installed Windows updates KB5120708 and KB5121003 last night, so I'm wondering whether one of them changed a display setting. Restarting did not help, and I can't find an obvious way to restore the previous appearance. It looks as though the saturation and contrast were dramatically increased in a photo editor. My system has an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060, integrated AMD Radeon graphics, and an older LG Full HD IPS monitor. What could have caused this, and what settings should I check to fix it?

Check Windows Color Management by searching for it from the Start menu. Look under the monitor’s device profiles and make sure an unexpected ICC color profile was not added or selected. You can also check the advanced settings if more than one profile is listed.
Open the NVIDIA graphics control panel and review the desktop color settings. Make sure the display is using the default color values rather than an unusually high digital vibrance or custom adjustment. Resetting the graphics settings to their defaults, then checking Windows display and color settings as well, may restore the normal appearance.
I checked the device section and only see one profile, which appears to be the same one I had before. I’m not sure whether there are other profiles or advanced options I should inspect.
