My monitor occasionally flashes or flickers, but the problem isn't happening constantly. I've already updated, restarted, and reinstalled the graphics drivers, but the issue still returns from time to time. What troubleshooting steps can I use to determine whether the monitor, graphics card, cable, or another part of the setup is responsible?

The simplest test is to connect the computer to a different display, such as a TV or another monitor. If the flickering appears there too, the GPU, cable, or graphics settings are more likely involved. If the second display works normally, the original monitor or its input is the stronger suspect.
I don’t have access to another monitor or TV. Are there any other tests I can try?
